Police have arrested and charged two OMCG members following an alleged incident at a licensed premises in West Ryde.
About 9pm (Thursday 21 November 2013), officers attached to Ryde Local Area Command were called to a licensed premises on West Parade after reports a number of patrons were refusing to leave the location.
Upon arrival, police directed a group of intoxicated men to leave the premises.
After allegedly refusing to cooperate, a 26-year-old man was escorted by police from the location and arrested.

Police have charged more than 50 people during a music festival held in Sydney.
The Harbourlife Music Festival was held at Mrs Macquarie’s Point in the Royal Botanic Gardens between 2pm and 10pm on Saturday 23 November 2013.
There was a large police presence at the festival with officers from Sydney City Local Area Command, the Central Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad (Redfern) and the Dog Unit in attendance.
A crowd of approximately 4,500 people attended the festival with police targeting anti-social behaviour, alcohol-related crime and drug offences.
During the operation police searched 74 people, issued 55 move-on directions and one cannabis caution.
52 people were issued court attendance notices for offences including possess prohibited drug, common assault, assault police, resist arrest and offensive conduct.
A number of other people were ejected by event organisers and security due to their level of intoxication.
Inspector Tony Bell from Sydney City Local Area Command was pleased with the low number of arrests and general behaviour of the crowd.
“The event organisers, security staff and other stakeholders worked with police to promote a safe event and proactively address any issues as they arose.”
“Police have a positive relationship with event organisers to ensure the general safety of all festival goers and it is pleasing to see the majority of the crowd was well behaved with only a small number of arrests,” said Inspector Bell.
MAN CHARGED OVER PUB GLASSING – PADDINGTON (NSW)

A man has been charged over the glassing of another man at a pub in Paddington.
About 9pm, Saturday 23 November 2013, two men were drinking at a pub on Oxford Street when they became involved in an argument at the bar.
During the argument a 24-year-old man was struck in the face with a beer glass and sustained a serious laceration to his cheek.
Hotel security intervened in the incident and detained the man before contacting emergency services.
Police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended the scene and the injured man was taken to hospital where he will undergo facial surgery.
A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Surry Hills Police Station where he was charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Downing Centre Local Court.
ARMED ROBBERY OF TAVERN – WEST RYDE (NSW)

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a tavern at West Ryde.
About 11:30pm, Saturday 23 November 2013, four males, wearing balaclavas and armed with firearms and a knife, attended the tavern on West Parade.
They threatened staff and patrons and were handed cash before running out of the premises towards Anthony Lane.
Police were contacted and attended the tavern where they established a crime scene while a search of the area was also conducted with the assistance of the Dog Unit, however, the armed men were not located.
Detectives from Ryde Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the robbery and are looking for four males who have only been described as wearing dark hooded jumpers, balaclavas and dark pants.
Investigations continue.
MAN CHARGED OVER ATTEMPTED ROBBERY OF BETTING SHOP – REGENTS PARK (NSW)

A man has been charged over the alleged attempted armed robbery of a betting shop at Regents Park on the weekend.
About 9:15pm on Saturday 23 November 2013, a man armed with a handgun entered the betting shop on Amy Street.
The man, who had his face concealed, approached the counter and allegedly threatened a male staff member with the firearm while making demands for cash.
The 56-year-old employee ran from behind the counter and activated the hold-up alarm while the armed man fled the shop empty-handed.
Police from Flemington Local Area Command attended the scene with subsequent investigations leading them to a house in Biara Street, Chester Hill.
A search warrant was conducted at the premises where police allegedly recovered a handgun as well as clothing, gloves, stolen number plates and an amount of cocaine.
On Sunday 24 November 2013, detectives from Flemington Local Area Command returned to the premises where they arrested a 28-year-old man.
He was taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with assault with intent to rob while armed with a dangerous weapon and refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court.
Investigations into the seized firearm and prohibited drugs are continuing.
SERIOUS ASSAULT OUTSIDE HOTEL – KINGAROY (QLD)

Police have charged a 20-year-old Kingaroy man after an investigation into a serious assault outside a hotel in Kingaroy on Saturday 23 November 2013.
A 51-year-old local man was punched in the head by a man on the corner of Kingaroy and Alford Streets, before falling to the ground hitting his head.
He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
The 20-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court.
